This client got in touch with us after the Turkish government announced it would offer citizenship by investment in real estate, with homes valued at $1m or more (changed to 250,000USD in September 2018). After a number of emails and phone calls, including a consultation with a specialist lawyer about the finer points of gaining citizenship, the client visited Istanbul for an in-depth look at properties in the Media Highway/Basin Ekspres area.

He wanted a safe yet high-yield investment with a solid exit strategy, with potential for steady rental returns. With Cameron Deggin, he looked at a number of options in this up-and-coming part of Istanbul, before buying an entire floor of designer apartments in central Istanbul, in the Philippe Starck complex. The client plans to hold onto his apartments for five years, with Property Turkey managing the rentals, after which time he plans to sell the units with our help.
