Who is Saffet Kaya?
After receiving his Bachelor of Architecture degree at the Istanbul Technical University, and his Masters of Architecture with Honours from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), Saffet brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Property Turkey.
Saffet established his own practice, Kaya Design, in 2017 after previously working at some of the world’s leading architectural institutions, including Zaha Hadid Architects in London and Frank O. Gehry in Los Angeles where he was involved in projects including the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
With years of experience, Saffet has been involved in several competition-winning and international developments as project designer and architect, including: the London Aquatics Centre for the 2012 Olympic Games and the Heydar Aliyev Centre in Baku – where Saffet is acknowledged as the co-author.
He has also been involved in four outstanding academic projects in Cyprus, including the new Student Services Building at Cyprus International University.

Not only does Saffet understand the desires of our clients in terms of build quality and aesthetic design externally, but he is also the designer of many critically acclaimed interior products and furniture, including the renowned Aqua Table – helping us provide an A – Z service to those wanting to build their own homes in Turkey.
Through his own practice, Kaya Design, Saffet has established locations in London, Istanbul, and Cyprus – focusing on pursuing innovation through architecture and the expression of smart architectural surfaces to create diverse designs.
