Turkey's national electric vehicle manufacturer Togg is celebrating its eighth anniversary after establishing itself as the country's leading electric vehicle brand. Since its launch in 2018, the company has built an ecosystem that now serves more than 105,000 users through expanding vehicle sales, charging infrastructure, digital services, and growing international operations.

Togg Strengthens Its Position in Turkey's EV Market

Founded on June 25, 2018, through a partnership between Anadolu Group Holding, BMC, Turkcell, Zorlu Holding, and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), Togg has become the country's largest electric vehicle manufacturer.

The company's first model, the T10X, attracted more than 177,000 pre-orders following its launch in 2023. Its second model, the T10F fastback, entered both the Turkish and German markets during 2025, with both vehicles receiving 5-star Euro NCAP safety ratings.

According to the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD), Togg held a 25% share of Turkey's electric vehicle market during the first five months of 2026. Combined sales of the T10X and T10F reached 16,745 units, with the T10X recording 9,070 sales and the T10F adding 7,675 units.

Charging Network and Technology Continue to Expand

Togg has continued investing in its wider mobility ecosystem. Its Trugo charging network has grown to approximately 2,000 charging stations across Turkey, completing more than five million charging sessions while operating entirely on renewable energy.

The company has also expanded its digital offering with the launch of its Can.ai artificial intelligence platform, developed in partnership with Microsoft Turkey. A major update to its proprietary TruOS software has also introduced improvements to vehicle performance, user interfaces, and connected services.

Production at the Gemlik Technology Campus has continued to increase domestic manufacturing content, with local component rates rising to 81.72% for the T10X and 83.9% for the T10F, highlighting the company's growing domestic supply chain.

European Expansion Supports Future Growth

Togg is continuing to broaden its international ambitions. The company recently announced a strategic partnership with battery manufacturer CAIT, a subsidiary of CATL, to develop a shared platform for new B-segment electric vehicles expected to launch from mid-2027.

The company has also expanded its brand visibility through sponsorship agreements with Turkey's national football and basketball teams, while continuing its entry into European markets, beginning with Germany.

Togg's growth has also been recognised within Turkey's industrial sector. The company climbed nine places to rank 28th among Turkey's 500 largest industrial enterprises in the latest Istanbul Chamber of Industry rankings.
