According to a renowned London-based independent branded business valuation consultant report released Wednesday, Turkish Airlines (THY) has been awarded the country's most valuable brand in 2022, as it has been for the previous three years.
The Airlines topped Brand Finance's Turkey 100 list for the 16th consecutive year, with a brand worth of 1.6 billion USD.
Turkish brands and their worth
Arcelik, an electronics manufacturer with a brand worth of 1.4 billion USD, came in second.
Ford Otosan came in third with a brand worth of 819 million USD, up seven points from the year before. Vestel, a manufacturer of white goods and electronics, moved seven ranks to fourth place, with a market capitalisation of 720 million USD.
Turkcell, the telecommunications behemoth, remained in fifth place with a brand worth of 705 million USD. Meanwhile, LC Waikiki, a big clothing company that was not on the list previous year, came in sixth place with a worth of 668 million USD.
Garanti BBVA, a private lender, came in seventh place. The bank's brand worth was 532 million USD, while BM, a retailer, was eighth with 524 million USD and Sbank, a private lender, was ninth with 507 million USD.
Turk Telekom, a telecommunications company, came in 10th place with a brand worth of 500 million USD.
This year, the list was expanded to include nine new brands from diverse business lines, including LC Waikiki, Petrol Ofisi, GA, Yayla, Kervan, Turkiye Sigorta, Sabiha Gokcen Airport, Aktif Bank, and Ege Seramik.
Medikal Park, with a 67.2% rise in brand value, and Odeabank, with a 48.1% increase, had the largest increases in brand value in the top 100.
Do&Co had the greatest decline in brand value throughout this time span, at 69.5%. Tat came in second with 67.2 percent, followed by Anadolu Isuzu with 65.8%.
