Official tourism representatives in Antalya have announced that, for the second year in a row, the city is on course to break a new record for foreign tourist arrivals – with 2025 on course to beat the numbers reached in 2024.
In October 2025, Antalya welcomed just over 2.2 million foreign tourists – a new record. This was an increase of 8% when compared to the same month in 2024. This brought the total number of foreign arrivals to 16.3 million people during the period of January to October, an increase of 176,000 people compared to 2024.
Russian visitors were the most popular with 3.9 million Russian nationals travelling to Antalya so far this year. German nationals were second with 3.3 million people, followed by tourists from the United Kingdom amounting to 1.4 million people. Rounding out the top ten were travellers from Poland, the Netherlands, Ukraine, Romania, Kazakhstan, Czech Republic, and Lithuania.
After hosting 17.2 million tourists in 2024, Antalya Governor, Hulusi Sahin, said that the city has the potential for more. Sahin said: “What can we do? First, make tourists happy so they will return next year. Second, there will be so many events and attractions that they will say seven days is not enough, I’ll stay another day or two.”
Sahin also noted that the daily spending-per-person by tourists visiting Antalya had increased from $70 USD to over $100 USD. Sahin continued to say: “We say the season ends in November, but November and December are also beautiful months here. March and April are wonderful as well.”
Sahin emphasised that the city will focus on sporting events in order to promote tourism during the winter months of the year – highlighting Belek for golf and camping, along with Kemer, which has made investments in nature tourism.
