Faralya is a stunning remote village that nestles in the mountains about 15km from the coast of Oludeniz. There are just a few small grocery stores. There are no large hotels or developments, just a couple of small hotels and camp – sites.

Faralya has a very limited building allowance therefore there is a guarantee that this destination will always retain its charm and exclusivity with no mass developments or influx of holiday makers. 

Until about 15 years ago Faralya was totally inaccessible via roads and it was a treacherous mountain trek that took about 9 hours. However even with the road from Oludeniz completed it is still not for the faint hearted, as the 20 minute dolmus (minibus) ride along the mountain road with many hairpin bends and sheer cliff drops! However, as soon as you have experienced Faralya any thoughts of the journey immediately disappear as you marvel in the sheer beauty and delight that is this hidden gem in the Mediterranean coast. 


Things to do

There is no doubt that there is little to do in Faralya apart from relaxing on the fabulous deserted beaches, swimming, admiring the breath taking scenery or hiking, Faralya is on the Lycian way trekking route. 

Oludeniz is about 20 minutes via public transport and this is available on a timetable each day.
